Context:
Working within the airport service team, the general operative will be performing duties to ensure equipment availability, health & safety compliance, quality, Maximo reporting and team working is optimised in accordance with agreed timescales.

Communicating with the baggage control room to effectively resolve issues within the baggage handling system.

Have a proactive approach to fault finding
Build Reputation with Customers
Interface to customer in a Professional and Courteous Manner either face to face, telephone, email.
Ensure contract SLAs are consistently achieved and improved
Drive to Win
Ensure contract SLA's are consistently achieved and improved. Assist with planned preventative maintenance, corrective and reactive maintenance in timely manner as required. Record all work done and parts used in CMMS system (Maximo) where applicable
Team Play
Provide cover for other team members when necessary.
Ensure thorough knowledge transfer through sharing of knowledge and information.
Every day better
Assist with routine maintenance duties including, but not limited to: operational checks, functionality checks, cleaning, adjustment, lubrication and monitoring. Look to find root cause of issues and find permanent solutions to issues encountered.

Ensure all company legislative Health & Safety regulations and policies are maintained. Work in a safe considerate manner and leave all work areas clean and tidy at all times.
Skill & Experience:
Be willing to assist and learn from a multi-disciplined team in a fast moving environment.
Good interpersonal skills and able to communicate precisely both in writing and verbally at all levels
Be computer literate
Be able to plan and prioritise work load
Be able to work on own initiative as well as a member of a team
Be of smart appearance and behave professionally and be respectful to all people

Previous experience within an FMCG manufacturing or automated warehousing
