What we need
Symbotic is seeking a General Manager to oversee operations and production management across Symbotic’s customer distribution center site. This leadership role requires a leader to guide and influence the site team towards achieving operational excellence and strategic goals. As a General Manager, you will lead and influence teams to foster a collaborative team environment internally and with customers. We seek a leader with a passion for delivering best-in-class service to our distribution centers and a commitment to excellence in all aspects of operations.
This role will be based on-site in Loveland, CO.
What we do
The General Manager is part of the site operations team, which is part of the Customer Operations organization. The Customer Operations organization is responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of Symbotic’s robotic material handling system. The Customer Operations organization drives operational excellence by engaging and partnering with our onsite customers to drive best-in-class quality, safety and system performance.
What you’ll do

Oversee automation operations and production management at the customer site, conducting performance assessments, analyzing cause-and-effect relationships, and implementing corrective actions as necessary.

Develop and maintain accountability for the operating plan and financial commitments.

Effectively communicate and lead the execution of operating plan targets, action plans, and status updates to the site team according to the plan of record.

Monitor progress towards operational goals, providing comprehensive reporting to both customers and internal cross-functional teams.

Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by maintaining quality standards and delivering exceptional service. Address customer concerns and resolve issues promptly.

Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing operations team by Fostering a collaborative and positive work environment that encourages innovation and continuous improvement.

Foster a culture of continuous improvement in safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance, driving positive change throughout the organization.

Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies by promoting a safety culture and ensuring all team members adhere to safety protocols.

Support staff and team members by offering training, instruction, and leadership to enhance their personal growth and job performance.
What you’ll need
-
Bachelors degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, or Industrial Automation, Business Administration required, or equivalent work experience.

Minimum of 7+ years of related functional management and direct supervisory experience.

Minimum 5+ years of direct management and leadership within an operations environment.

Knowledge and experience in logistics, material management, inventory control systems, and manufacturing operations.

Ability to drive change and implement process improvements.

Strong understanding of operational metrics and performance management.

Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance standards.

Budget preparation and control experience.

Flexible working hours, overtime and travel required.

Leadership skills with ability to motivate cross-functional or cross-facility groups.
Our Environment

This role will be based on-site in Loveland, CO.
-
Up to 10-15% of travel may be required, travel during onboarding/training will be up to 60%. Employees must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to drive and/or fly to client and other customer locations.

The employee is responsible for owning a credit card and managing expenses personally to be reimbursed bi-weekly.

There will be steep stairs to climb into the structure. You may be required to routinely walk up and down stairs to navigate the automation structure.

You will regularly be near railings that are high off the ground.

Subject to environmental conditions, protection from weather conditions but not necessarily temperature changes. Must be capable of working in temperatures ranging from 105° to 32° Fahrenheit.

Frequent ability to safely and efficiently lift items weighing up to 50lbs and move items weighing up to 80lbs.

Stand/walk for up to 10-12 hours and is frequently required to walk and reach with hands and arms.

The employee is routinely required to work at heights of up to 45 feet and within restrictive areas of 24 inches. Where you may need to be able to stand, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

Must be capable of occasional and/or continuous feeling, seeing, hearing, bending, twisting, stooping, pushing, pulling, balancing, gripping, climbing, crawling, sitting, handling objects, and repetitive movement using both hands and feet. Must comply with all safety requirements and protocols, including without limitation Lock out tag out safety protocols and fall protection safety protocols.
