General Manager Malaysia Singapore Brunei

As General Manager for the Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei cluster, you will be responsible for managing the planning and delivery of all commercial sales and marketing business activities to grow brand power and consumer demand in the market, and increase household penetration across all categories.

Additionally you will formulate, evaluate, and implement compliance initiatives in line with global compliance practices and ensure that regulatory, distribution, and logistics activities are developed to facilitate and augment the delivery of the commercial strategy.  Continual development of talent to drive organisation growth and develop a high-performing team is also a key focus of this role.

Role Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement the overall commercial strategy for Haleon
• Lead the development of the commercial plan for regular budgeting and forecasting processes
• Ensure that strategic marketing and sales plans are developed in line with corporate planning processes
• Build a portfolio strategy that delivers a sustainable high-growth retail business for Haleon and maximizes opportunities on the tender/institutional market
• Monitor Sales and Marketing working standards to identify potential areas for improvement and plan effective remedial actions
• Control the use of budgets and other company resources to ensure compliance with planned activities
• Attract, identify, and develop diverse talent and invest in organizational capability for the future
• Demonstrate strong social, legal, and ethical responsibility across all stakeholder groups
• Drive compliance and the internal control framework, identifying, managing, and escalating risks when appropriate
• Manage Commercial Operations activities, including monthly performance reviews, dashboard management, and above-country marketing activities

Skills/Experience Required:

• Extensive experience (15+ years) in a senior leadership role with multi-country/ multi-market experience
• Demonstrated sales and marketing experience working with multiple brands
• Ability to drive long and short-term growth
• Proven track record in brand building and organizational and culture building and experience driving business and people transformation
• 5 or more years of experience in the FMCG industry
• Experience in leading go-to-market changes, fix-its and turnarounds

• Experience in working cross-functionally to develop innovative strategy and implementation plans
