About the Role
We are looking for a General Ledger Accountant to join our Finance team in Gdańsk or Kraków.
This role is a great opportunity for an accounting professional who is looking to develop their expertise within General Ledger and Record-to-Report processes in an international environment. You will support month-end closing activities, financial reporting, reconciliations, compliance processes, and statutory accounting tasks while working closely with colleagues across Europe and the US.
We operate in a hybrid work model with 2 days per week in our office in Gdańsk or Kraków.
What You Will Do
As a General Ledger Accountant, you will support the accounting and reporting processes for assigned Arrow entities.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
Control and manage the accuracy of General Ledger for the assigned Arrow companies
Complete all relevant month-end financial close procedures including necessary accruals and Trial Balance reviews
Prepare and be responsible for all necessary internal reporting required within Europe and to US head office
Carry out relevant Sarbanes Oxley controls
Hedging, Revaluation, and FX analysis
Headcount reporting, control and forecasting support.
Statutory accounting and corporation tax work
Statutory/Corporate reconciliations and European consolidation.
Control and prepare VAT, Intrastat and Sales List Reporting, submission of Vat Returns and related compliance
Support and be actively involved with Group and statutory audit work
Prepare any necessary variance analysis for all the above
Support other accountants within the team on a variety of tasks in order to meet the total needs of the finance department
Involvement with developing new/efficient processes/procedures within the accounting team
Provide support and assistance to the Accounting Manager on projects and ad-hoc tasks
Who You Are
You are detail-oriented, analytical, and eager to build a long-term career within General Ledger accounting. You enjoy working in a dynamic international environment and are comfortable managing multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
Skills & Experience Required
• Previous experience in Accounting, Finance Operations, or a similar accounting role
• Good understanding of General Ledger accounting principles
• Knowledge of VAT and basic tax regulations
• Advanced English skills
• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Experience working with ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, JD Edwards, or similar)
• Knowledge of SOX controls and reporting processes
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities
• Proactive approach and willingness to learn
