General Labourer

GFL Environmental is looking for a reliable and safety-focused Labourer to join our team in Abbotsford, BC.

The successful candidate will support daily site operations in a physically demanding environment and must hold a valid class 5 Drivers License with an Air Brake Endorsement. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys outdoor work, teamwork, and is committed to safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform general labour tasks such as site cleanup, litter control, and minor site maintenance

• Assist heavy equipment operators and drivers with daily tasks

• Move or position trucks and equipment that require an air brake endorsement

• Direct traffic and safely guide vehicles on-site

• Maintain tools and clean work areas and equipment

• Follow all safety procedures and site protocols

• Work outdoors in all weather conditions

Requirements:

• Valid Air Brake Endorsement

• Valid Class 5 driver’s license (or higher) with a clean driving record

• Physically fit and able to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment

• Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team

• Must have or be willing to obtain required personal protective equipment (PPE), including steel-toe boots

• Proficient in basic computer navigation

• Experience in waste management, construction, or general labour is an asset

• Forklift operator certification is considered a strong asset
