Responsibilities
General accounting
Ensure compliance with Group and local standards for its domain
Process dailies and closing works and coordinate actions with other departments
Justify the general accounts within its scope
Manage the Internal Controls for balance sheet items within it’s scope
Quarterly closing
Preparation & booking of the quarterly closing entries
Oversee and monitor account clearing within its scope
Ensure justification of accounts within its scope
Cash accounting
Monitor and control the clearing of Bank reconciliation accounts
Report settlement incidents to Departments concerned, and manage their resolution with BUs (Business Unit), Reporting/closing and Treasury Teams
Payroll
Ensure payroll integration in SAP
Perform downstream checks of payroll files with HR data
Manage the contribution payments (retirement, URSSAF, etc.) and taxes (on salaries, withholding deductions, etc.) within the legal deadlines
Taxes
Provide consistent information to tax departements to allow quarterly and yearly taxes assessment or propose assessment of taxes for tax departement validation
Ensure deferred and corporate income taxes are properly booked in SAP
Perform downstream checks of taxes with Tax data
Quality of service provision
Support and work closely with other accounting heads and actively participate in communities, working in an open and collaborative manner with all Accountants and other stakeholders.
Build strong expertise and working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure quality of services delivered.
Reinforce a client focused mindset as more services are being pooled to maximize the satisfaction of internal clients.
2/3 years Experience in Accounting and / or accounting background
Insurance skills are a plus and more generally, background in a global, complex insurance environment
Flexible and open to change
Experience in working in a multi-cultural environment with teams from various locations
Customer and services oriented, problems solving, pragmatic, and constructive
Experience of a flexible approach to managing and prioritizing a high workload and multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, and to push back when necessary
Proactive communicator (oral and written) with highly effective influencing, negotiating, and motivational skills
Unquestionable integrity
Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or accounting
