We are seeking an experienced, and detail-oriented Accountant to handle the Securities Class Action Services (SCAS) team’s contingency business reporting requirements, performing global general ledger functions and month-end requirements. This position will work closely with the SCAS business teams to ensure timely and proper recording of activities and to our General Ledger team to guarantee month-end deadlines are met.
Responsibilities:

Prepares Monthly and Weekly SCAS reports which shows status and
activities for the period. -
Maintain up to date SCAS reports which being used by various key
personnel. -
Prepares daily reconciliation of SCAS cash and contingency accounts
and activities. -
Collaborate with SCAS Ops and other group to gather latest information as required and resolve issues & concerns.

Do month-end financial accounting and control procedures - including month end SCAS journal entries and reconciliations of SCAS balance sheet accounts.

Handle annual audit and statutory requirements.

Other general responsibilities and special projects as required.
Qualifications
Training & Experience:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or any relative course
-
At least 5 years relative experience in General Ledger (bank reconciliation, balance sheet schedule preparation), Accounts Payable and complex reports, is required, while experience in a multinational/ global financial service would be an advantage.

Proficiency in using MS Excel

Fluency in English is essential (written and spoken)

Self-starter who can prioritize and manage multiple assignments, take initiative, and work independently.
Work Location & Schedule:

Amenable to work in Makati City on a dayshift schedule (9:00 am- 6:00 pm, Manila Time)

Amenable to follow a hybrid work arrangement (3x onsite work per week)
