About the role
We are currently looking for a Gender/Social Development Specialist who has prior experience of working on large-scale, complex infrastructure projects. The role is primarily responsible for monitoring the safeguards, implement gender activities, and report on social compliance.
Job Responsibilities:
- Review contractor-prepared designs to ensure social, gender, and environmental considerations are incorporated.
- Monitor safeguards, implement gender activities, and report on social compliance.
- Review contractor-prepared designs for project buildings and facilities to ensure social, gender, and environmental considerations are incorporated.
- Assess potential social and community impacts of construction activities and coordinate with authorities before construction.
- Contribute to reports documenting design compliance, including recommendations for modifications or variation orders when required.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in social science
- Min. 10 years of professional experience
- Min. 8 years in social and gender activities
