About The Role:
We seek a Gender and Program Specialist to integrate gender perspectives into our initiatives and activities in Indonesia while also helping manage a crucial multiyear country program for IIX. The ideal candidate will have expertise in gender equality and analysis, social inclusion, and program management to drive impactful and sustainable change.
Key Responsibilities
Gender Analysis & Mainstreaming
- Conduct gender analyses to identify gaps and opportunities in program activities.
- Develop and implement gender-sensitive strategies across initiatives under the program.
- Provide technical support on gender mainstreaming within the organization.
- Program & Policy Development
- Design and support activities and approaches that promote gender equality and women’s empowerment.
- Ensure compliance with gender-related policies, frameworks, and best practices.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders to advocate for gender-responsive policies.
Capacity Building & Training
- Develop training materials and conduct workshops on gender inclusion.
- Build internal and external capacity on gender-sensitive approaches.
- Support knowledge-sharing initiatives to enhance gender awareness.
Program Management, Monitoring, and Reporting
- Help track progress, manage stakeholders, and support program reporting for a multiyear program in Indonesia
- Establish gender-sensitive indicators to track progress and impact from the program.
- Assess and report on gender-related program outcomes.
- Provide recommendations to strengthen gender integration in initiatives.
Performance Metrics (KPIs)
- Gender Analysis & Mainstreaming – Conduct gender analyses, identify gaps, and implement gender-sensitive strategies within programs.
- Program & Policy Development – Ensure compliance with gender policies, develop gender-responsive initiatives, and engage stakeholders for advocacy.
- Capacity Building & Training – Conduct workshops, create training materials, and enhance stakeholder capacity on gender-sensitive approaches.
- Program Management, Monitoring & Reporting – Track progress using gender-sensitive indicators, assess program impact, and provide actionable recommendations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Gender Studies, Social Sciences, International Development, or a related field.
- 12-14 years of experience in gender mainstreaming, training, social inclusion, or program management.
- Strong understanding of gender frameworks, SDGs, and gender-lens investing.
- Experience working with government agencies, international organizations, and impact investors.
- Strong research and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
- Preferred experience in monitoring and reporting of impact and gender-related programs.
