Position Summary:
As a Gameplay / Tools Programmer, you’ll work closely with designers and fellow engineers to implement and iterate on key gameplay systems - particularly in areas like combat, crafting, and UI interactions. You'll also develop internal tools and pipelines that empower content creators to move fast and iterate confidently, while ensuring performance, clarity, and scalability remain top priorities. This is a hands-on, high-impact role on an ambitious team creating something special and exciting.

Key Responsibilities:  

• Collaborate with designers to implement, refine, and tune core gameplay features, including combat and crafting systems.
• Take vertical ownership of features—from UI control flow to networking and server simulation—with guidance from senior engineering leadership.
• Build and maintain internal tools to support scalable content creation and fast iteration workflows.
• Identify and resolve technical bottlenecks across gameplay and content pipelines.
• Contribute to overall code quality, performance optimization, and engineering best practices across the team
  

Qualifications & Skills:

• 3+ years of professional experience in game development, with at least one shipped or completed project.
• Strong programming skills in at least one low-level language such as C++, C, Go, or Rust.
• A collaborative mindset with a desire to bridge the gap between design and implementation.
• Passion for online communities, social games, or emergent multiplayer experiences—especially MMOs and ARGs.
• Curiosity about film, cross-medium storytelling, and experimental game design.
• Familiarity with the Rust programming language is a bonus.
• Experience with the Godot engine is a bonus.
