Your Role: G&A Procurement Category Lead

The Global Procurement team is responsible for sourcing goods and services in a way that adds value to the Elanco business. The focus of Indirect Procurement roles will be to identify and establish category strategies and apply those strategies to sourcing and value capture projects. Another important responsibility is to maintain relationships with suppliers who also interface with our key stakeholder partners. The individual will develop and maintain market knowledge for one or more spend areas, identify and implement best practices that deliver value, and network internally to influence change. They will also lead local and global projects through the strategic sourcing process, resulting in negotiation and contracting with the selected supplier(s). They will be involved in relationship management with critical suppliers to assure the value targeted during negotiations is realized for the business.

Your Responsibilities:

• Strategic Direction Setting: Define and guide strategic direction for G&A categories including Temporary Labor, Consulting, Security Services, Speakers, KOL’s, Learning & Development, Recruiting, Legal, and other Professional Services.

• Procurement Productivity and Automation: Collaborate with Procurement Regional Leads to enhance productivity through strategic sourcing, process automation, and value capture initiatives across indirect service categories.

• Policy and Automation Leadership: Lead creation and deployment of policies, guidelines, and digital automation for Temp Labor and Consulting spend categories, establishing standards where none exist.

• Stakeholder Alignment and Influence: Foster strong alignment with Finance, HR, and Legal stakeholders to shape future state strategies for optimal value and productivity.

• Business Needs Understanding and Solution Implementation: Deeply understand Elanco’s business needs, ensuring successful implementation and adoption of Procurement solutions for maximum impact.

What You Need to Succeed (minimum qualifications):

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in business or supply chain

• Required Experience: At least 10 years of Procurement experience with a large company

• Top Two Skills: Extensive experience sourcing large dollar amount indirect categories of spend; experience in managing global third party relationships including management/oversight, supplier and/or supplier selection, negotiation, contracting and problem resolution skills in the finance/accounting space.

• Global Category Strategy Ownership: Own and operationalize global category strategies and playbooks to achieve organizational goals.

• Effective Interpersonal and Negotiation Skills: Proven ability in conflict resolution and collaboration across internal and external teams, with strong negotiation skills and knowledge of commercial law.

• Influence and Networking for Organizational Impact: Ability to network and influence across all levels of management and regions, driving organizational change and exceeding direct responsibilities.

Additional Information:

• Travel: Overnight domestic and international is possible (10%)

• Location: UK Hook, Hybrid Work Environment
