Typical duties include but are not limited to preparation, transportation, and personal care of the deceased to be carried out with professionalism, dignity, respect and adherence to health and safety standards.

If you’re successful in your application, we’ll perform some background checks as part of our pre-employment screening process. These will include a DBS (disclosure and barring service) and adverse media checks which includes social media activity on platforms like Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

Skills Required
- Comfortable with direct physical contact with deceased (preparation and handling)
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks such as moving coffins (appropriate training/equipment provided)
- Good verbal and written communication skills for client and colleague interactions
- Basic numeracy and cash-handling skills, processing invoicing and simple calculations
- Keen eye for detail and adherence to regulatory policies and processes
- Good IT skills and ability to use computers, tablets, smartphone applications, printers and learn new systems
- High levels of empathy, discretion and care when working with bereaved families
- Ability to maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment and report maintenance issues
- Willingness to undergo and pass DBS and adverse media/background checks
