Fundraising Officer

The Fundraising Officer is responsible for securing financial support to advance our mission by developing, implementing, and managing direct income-generation strategies. This role focuses on cultivating relationships with individual donors, writing institutional grant proposals, managing fundraising campaigns, and identifying new revenue streams within and outside of Sierra Leone. •Research, write, and submit high-quality funding proposals to foundations, corporate donors, and institutional Grantmakers. Maintain a database of grant deadlines and track pipeline stages. •Develop and execute campaigns for individual donor acquisition, retention, and upgrades. Build strong relationships with existing donors through regular updates, impact reports, and stewardship events. •Lead online and offline fundraising initiatives (e.g. peer-to-peer campaigns, annual appeals, and digital crowdfunding). • Work with the Programme Team to set annual revenue targets and create actionable fundraising plans for WANEP – Sierra Leone. Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPI) to track progress on fundraising. •Maintain the donor database within and outside Sierra Leone, ensuring accurate recording of gifts, contact information, and engagement history. Prepare regular fundraising performance reports for Senior Management Team.
