Position Summary:

The Funding Assistant will be responsible for providing general clerical support to the retail and lease loan processing teams and performing the following duties:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage the reception desk in lobby and monitor appropriate access to enter designated areas.

• Enter the incoming mail received into the receiving log.

• Date stamp, scan documents, and title images appropriately.

• Distribute incoming mail to appropriate personnel.

• Process and distribute refund checks to the appropriate department.

• Organize sensitive files ensuring Safeguard procedures are adhered to.

  • Prepare loan packages to be shipped to the Loan Servicing Department and/or warehouse facility, and outbound mail.

• Maintain confidentiality of personal information for consumers, including, but not limited to, Social Security numbers, and dates of birth.

• Log return mail in respective LOS system and filing document according to retention policies.

• Other duties may be assigned.

Required Experience:

  • Ability to obtain knowledge of loan processing procedures, regulations, and guidelines.
  • Efficient analytical and mathematical skills.
  • Strong written and oral communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite.

Education:

  • High school diploma/GED with a minimum of 2 years of related experience

Additional Requirements:

  • Overtime required – required on an as needed basis.
  • Travel 0-10% - as required on an as needed basis.
  • Must have reliable transportation and live within commutable distance to Houston, TX.

Qualifications Preferred:

  • Customer Service, Receptionist or Auto Loan Processing experience.

Work Schedule: This position is a onsite role, requiring an in-office presence Monday to Friday or to align with company requirements. The role also requires flexibility to work various shifts to meet business needs, which may include evening hours, holidays, and weekends. Travel requirements are estimated at 0–10%.
