The Funder supports the Escrow Team by managing processes related to earnest money deposits, funding, and disbursement of real estate transactions. This role ensures all financial components of the file are handled accurately, timely, and in compliance with TitleOne’s escrow trust accounting standards The Funder plays a critical role in transaction completion by coordinating with internal teams, lenders, agents, and clients to ensure smooth funding and a high level of customer service.
Key Responsibilities:- Deposit, track, and reconcile earnest money checks in a timely and accurate manner.
- Provide receipts and communicate with customers regarding earnest money deposits.
- Prepare, process, and disburse funds for all transactions in accordance with company trust accounting standards.
- Print checks, initiate and post wires, and ensure all funding activities are completed accurately.
- Follow company wire fraud prevention protocols.
- Review files prior to funding to confirm all requirements and curative items are complete.
- Balance files and review trial balances and outstanding check reports.
- Upload and distribute final documents to appropriate parties.
- Coordinate delivery, recording, and closing-related activities.
- Communicate with realtors, lenders, buyers, and sellers regarding funding status.
- Assist with shipping, recording, and general file processing tasks.
- Provide backup support for front desk and other operational roles as needed.
- Maintain compliance with TitleOne policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Interact and communicate in a professional and effective manner with all levels of team members, leadership, customers, and external partners.
- Performs other functions as necessary or as assigned.
- Minimum one year of escrow or closing experience.
- Working knowledge of real estate contracts and closing processes.
- Strong understanding of closing statements, lender requirements, and title commitments.
- Excellent communication skills, including phone and email etiquette.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
- High attention to detail with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, escrow systems, and general office equipment.
- Experience in a high-volume escrow or funding environment.
- Familiarity with TitleOne processes and systems.
