As a Fund Servicing Associate Iwithin Securities Services Operations team, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing our operational services related to fund accounting and administration. Your work will have a meaningful impact within our department, as you apply your broad knowledge of fund servicing principles and practices to perform diverse activities requiring analysis and judgement. With your advanced emotional intelligence, you will build trusting relationships with peers, managers, and stakeholders, fostering a collaborative environment. Your continuous improvement mindset will drive you to propose and implement improvements to our current working methods, contributing to the efficiency and resilience of our operating platform.
Job Responsibilities:
- Utilize JPMorgan Chase systems to complete NAV reconciliations on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis, ensuring consistency with accounting records.
- Generate reconciliation reports and collaborate with internal teams and IFAS to investigate and resolve significant NAV discrepancies.
- Maintain high standards of data quality for fund accounting and custody records.
- Update and manage security static data, ensuring asset identifiers (ISIN, WKN) are accurate and current.
- Record accrued expenses and provide expense accruals to IFAS as requested by clients or KVG/Fondsleitung.
- Coordinate the flow of information for additional valuations with CMO, KVGs/Fondsleitung, and IFAS, especially for unit transactions.
- Assist IFAS and GDS in overseeing OTC derivatives.
- Respond to inquiries efficiently to facilitate clear communication and timely resolution.
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:
- At least 3 years of experience in the pension funds sector, with a minimum of 3 years in fund accounting.
- Strong knowledge of fund accounting, reconciliation processes, and industry trends.
- Familiarity with securities industry practices, including dividends, interest, corporate actions, and trading.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to deliver strategic messages effectively.
- Proven ability to manage relationships and drive change across stakeholders.
- Demonstrated leadership and collaboration skills, with a focus on building effective teams.
- Proactive approach to identifying and escalating issues.
- Skilled in conflict resolution, with a commitment to collaborative, win-win outcomes.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills:
- Chartered Accountant, MBA, or bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, or Economics.
