We are looking for an Associate Solutions Architect to join our team at Fourth! In this position, you’ll be responsible for architecting the end-to-end workforce management solution for the US—from recruiting to employee payment and everything between! You’ll coordinate efforts across multiple product teams to deliver a single solution to meet the needs of a market who desires one place to recruit, onboard, manage HR & Payroll, schedule and pay on demand.


The Role. . .

  • Own and define the structure of the end-to-end product offering including its interfaces and the integrations between those interfaces to ensure that the system functions according to business requirements and goals.
  • Define functional requirements by understanding and defining business needs and translating them into detailed requirements that guide the development of multiple software solutions and how they integrate.
  • Design and own the overall functional architecture of Fourth’s End-to-End offering, which includes outlining how different parts of the system interact to perform the desired business operations ensuring that the system’s functionality aligns with the business objectives and user needs.
  • Work closely with Product, Engineering, Go to Market Leaders, and Initiative Owners to ensure the functional design is feasible and aligns with the technical aspects of the solution.
  • Design and specify the interfaces between different system components and external systems, ensuring seamless integration and communication to support the business processes.
  • Provide guidance to ensure that the solution remains aligned with the functional design.
  • Serve as a key liaison between business stakeholders and the technical team, translating business objectives into functional specifications and ensuring that stakeholders understand the functional aspects of the solution.
  • Be a SME on our HR/Payroll software and represent product to stakeholders answering their questions and helping drive education of the product internally

The Ideal Candidate. . .

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 1-3 years of experience in solution architecture or a related technical role.
  • A technical mindset with a solid understanding of software development lifecycles, data synchronization techniques (including synchronous and asynchronous methods), system integrations, and data flow patterns.
  • Ability to analyze complex business processes and requirements.
  • Strong communication skills to articulate functional requirements and designs to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Creativity and problem-solving skills to design functional solutions that meet business needs.
  • A good grasp of business processes and strategy to ensure that functional designs support Fourth’s roadmap and goals.
