Responsibilities:
Extract new features from requirements set by the customer for existing applications.
Containerize new and existing solutions for a team development environment and a technical transfer knowledge for the customer.
Anticipate the needs of the customer by making software decisions for applications to target a higher user base and allow for easier changes in the long term.
Strong verbal and written communication skills to provide technical information to teammates and major updates of the project to the customer.
Good understanding of system and software design with a focus on distributed systems concepts (e.g. high availability, reliability, and scalability).
Develop RESTful APIs for various services working in a microservices architecture.
Provisioning and supporting new systems for development teams. (ESXI, VSPHERE)
Accelerated/rapid prototype development (evaluating multiple technology options at the same time, proof-of-concept, etc.)
Troubleshooting customer issues with system accessibility, resource utilization, etc.
Project planning within the team on larger bodies of work
Qualifications:
Required:
Experience in Python
Experience in setting up development / virtual environments for the above languages (Python venv, Jupyter notebooks, etc)
Experience in automation scripting using bash scripts
Experience with container orchestration (mainly Docker, K8s a plus)
Experience with both relational and non-relational databases
Understanding of different data structures (YAML, JSON, etc)
Comfortable with building/modifying full stack code outside of your main focus area
Experience with the VMWare suite (ESXI, VCenter, VSphere)
Linux admin experience


Six (6) years of experience in application prototype development and a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science or a related discipline, or a Master's Degree with four (4) years experience, or a Ph.D with zero (0) years experience. In lieu of a Bachelors’ degree an additional four (4) years experience is required for a total of 10 years. 

Desired:
Experience in GoLang, C, C++ a plus

Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:

$78,700 - $165,300
