The Role
What you will do. A glimpse in your role:

The holder of this position will be responsible for the creation, maintenance and execution of automated quality measures for the applications assigned.

Reporting to Development Team Lead the successful candidate will be part of a young and dynamic team and contribute his/her efforts towards the goal of building up and maintaining  a test automation framework in alignment with the guidelines and test strategy set by the QA organization.

He/she will continuously focus on the quality of the products the team produces as well as the overall functioning of the systems and processes of Global Blue.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Analyse incoming requirements for completeness and testability.

  • Create, maintain, and execute manual and automated test cases.

  • Understand the business purpose and processes of the tested application for being able to perform reasonable exploratory tests.

  • Defect detection/documentation/tracking and retesting.

  • Maintain the automation framework and automated test cases to reduce manual efforts and deliver quick test results.

  • Create and maintain the required test data and environment (auto-deployment of applications).

  • Coordinate QA activities within the team and cooperate closely with Product Managers, Developers, and other QA engineers (in same/other teams).

Key competencies to empower your journey. You'll drive towards success if: 
  • University Degree in IT or technology related field (or an equivalent working experience).

  • English language – fluent written and spoken.

  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering, at least 2 years of experience in testing/quality assurance.

  • Solid understanding of QA responsibilities within an agile software development team.

  • Experienced in testing REST API (SoapUI/Postman).

  • Solid knowledge in MS SQL Server – Backup/Restore databases, validate data in database AND manipulate data (insert, delete, update).

  • ISTQB Certification is a plus.
