The project

We are seeking an Full Stack Developer - .NET/Angular Specialist to join our client, a Government agency in Tallahassee on a multi-year Statewide Financial Systems Modernization Project. The role will involve analyzing, documenting, and remediating FDOT’s web applications and databases to ensure they align with the modernized financial processes and integrate with the new statewide accounting systems. The selected candidate will work closely with business users, management, and database administrators to execute remediation and development tasks across cloud and on-premises environments.
Job duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Analyze current web applications, document specifications, and collaborate with management to create remediation strategies for impacted systems.
  • Update, remediate, and enhance web applications to meet the new chart of accounts and other financial systems changes. This includes working on interfaces, automated processes, and reporting programs.
  • Collaborate with database administrators to create database views and stored procedures that support application remediation efforts.
  • Analyze and recommend improvements to financial data models, ensuring compatibility with the new accounting systems.
  • Work within an Agile development environment, contributing to the team’s development sprints. Ensure clear communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Utilize Azure DevOps to manage tasks, code assets, and deployment processes.
  • Participate in regular scrum meetings and cross-functional team discussions to ensure smooth project progress.

Compensation and Term 

This opportunity is for a full-time, position with possible extensions and pay commensurate with experience up to $110,400 per year. Medical, dental, vision and life insurance available after 30 days of hire. 

Candidates are expected to work onsite at our client’s location. 

Qualifications you need

A successful candidate possesses or provides the following:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum two (2) years of hands-on experience with ASP.NET, JavaScript frameworks (Angular/React), and SQL Server/Oracle.
  • Minimum two (2) years of hands-on experience with Cloud platforms like Azure and experience with on-premises applications.
  • Strong SQL skills with experience in database management (SQL Server and/or Oracle).
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices using Azure DevOps or similar tools.
  • Strong understanding of software development best practices and Agile methodologies.
  • Critical thinker with a focus on efficient problem-solving and continuous improvement.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with financial systems, data warehousing, and ERP systems.
  • Knowledge of ETL processes, data governance, and data migration tools.
  • Prior experience with statewide financial systems modernization projects or similar system migrations is a plus.
