Gain hands-on experience in telecommunications network planning, optimization, digital transformation, and emerging technologies. As an FTTx Intern, you will work closely with network engineering teams to support fiber network design, performance analysis, process automation initiatives, and AI-driven projects. This internship offers valuable exposure to real-world network operations and innovation projects within a dynamic technology environment.
Key Responsibilities1. FTTx Network Design & Optimization Support with GIS Tools
Support the planning, design, and optimization of FTTx (Fiber-to-the-x) network deployments.
Utilize GIS tools to analyze network coverage, infrastructure layouts, and deployment feasibility.
Assist in identifying opportunities to enhance network performance and operational efficiency.
2. Advanced Performance Reporting Dashboard Development
Assist in developing and maintaining network performance reporting dashboards.
Support data collection, analysis, and visualization to provide meaningful operational insights.
Help monitor key network performance indicators and generate periodic reports for stakeholders.
3. Network Inventory Digitalization & Reconciliation Project
Support the digitalization of network inventory records and asset management processes.
Assist in validating, reconciling, and maintaining network inventory data accuracy.
Identify discrepancies and collaborate with relevant teams to improve data integrity.
4. Process Automation via Scripting/RPA
Assist in identifying manual and repetitive processes suitable for automation.
Support the development and testing of automation solutions using scripting or Robotic Process Automation (RPA) tools.
Contribute to process improvement initiatives that enhance team productivity and operational efficiency.
5. Exploring AI Use Cases
Research and evaluate potential AI applications within network operations and business processes.
Assist in proof-of-concept activities and AI-driven solution development.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the implementation and adoption of AI initiatives.
The intern will have the opportunity to contribute to the team's AI transformation initiatives by exploring and evaluating AI use cases that can enhance operational efficiency and decision-making. This project provides exposure to emerging technologies and opportunities to collaborate across multiple departments to deliver innovative solutions.
Preferred Skills / QualificationsCurrently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications Engineering, or a related engineering field.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Familiarity with data analysis, reporting tools, or dashboard development is an advantage.
Basic knowledge of networking concepts, GIS tools, scripting, or automation technologies is preferred.
Interest in Artificial Intelligence, digital transformation, and emerging technologies.
Strong communication and teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.
Proactive, curious, and eager to learn in a fast-paced technical environment.
