About this Role:We are seeking a Senior or Principal Frontend Software Engineer to join our fast paced LiveOps team to help develop a tele-operations platform for public safety teams to respond quickly to 911 calls. BRINC offers an industry leading Drone as a First Responder (DFR) program and we expand features every day as we learn more and more how to make our customers as efficient as possible. This role will quickly prototype new features with customers directly, take features into full fledged production, and help transition to newer tech stacks. If you like quickly iterating on products to create the perfect UX, this role is for you.
Key Responsibilities:Develop and improve real time drone tele-operations features
Develop and improve cloud based products for Drone as a First Responder programs
Interact with end customers regularly to find improvements on UX/UI
Prototype new products quickly to find product market fit
Help lead migration legacy tech stack to a new tech stack
Bachelor or Masters degree in engineering, computer science, or similar degree. Note - we are considering candidates for mid-career, senior, and principal positions.
5+ years experience with front end of fullstack development
Experience developing reactful, asynchronous front end code
Experience working with backend developers to develop clean interaction between front end to backend
Experience with quick prototyping of new front end experiences
Experience with extensive data visualization packages
Experience rendering real time inbound data
Experience with single page apps
Experience with websockets and UDP

What We Do
At BRINC we are driven by a spirit of service. Our team works hand in hand with our customers to imagine and build American-made drones that protect first responders and people in situations of real-world danger. A tragic moment led to BRINC's invention: the 2017 mass shooting at The Mandalay Bay, in our hometown of Las Vegas. For more than an hour, people were shot and killed, and. hundreds scrambled to find safety. At the same time, men and women risked their lives in a painstaking, physical search of the tower. We waited, we asked why, and how could we help? Our Founder and CEO, Blake Resnick, knew that technology must be able to offer a solution, and serve a role to save lives. Invention needs persistence: a 17-year-old Blake reached out to local Las Vegas law enforcement and finally secured a meeting. Amid skepticism, Blake's passion and creative vision convinced a seasoned team to support his vision to build a tool that could help them. For the next 3+ years, Blake lived the problem - riding with first responders, to experience their challenges in the field - and he developed the drone that now is BRINC's first breakthrough system: The LEMUR S, Built in the USA. We launched BRINC in early 2021 and today we are a diverse team of more than 100 engineers, builders, technologists, and public safety specialists.
