Job Description

Oaks Port Douglas Resort are looking for a Full-Time Front Office Supervisor who brings proven front office experience, leadership qualities, and a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences to join the team.
 

Key Responsibilities Include: 

  • Lead and support the team in delivering exceptional guest experiences and ensuring a warm welcome for all guests.
  • Serve as a role model, sharing your expertise and continuously motivating the team to achieve high standards of service.
  • Oversee the completion of daily tasks, ensuring they are executed accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Manage guest arrivals and departures efficiently, ensuring a seamless check-in/check-out experience.
  • Address and resolve guest complaints promptly and professionally, maintaining high levels of guest satisfaction.

Shift Details (subject to change):

  • Rotating roster across Monday to Sunday 
  • Shift times scheduled within 7:00am to 11:00pm
  • Immediate start available

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team; prior supervisory experience is highly regarded.
  • Extensive background in the hospitality industry, ideally within a hotel or resort setting, with a thorough understanding of guest service standards and operations.
  • Exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to maintain a consistently positive and professional demeanour, even in high-pressure situations.
  • Strong time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently and ensure timely completion of duties.
  • Impeccable professional presentation, reflecting the high standards of the organisation.
  • Flexibility to work weekends and adjust to varying schedules, as required by the operational needs of the business.

Additional Information

To succeed in this role, you will demonstrate:

  • Previous experience as a waitstaff, bartender, or all-rounder in a hospitality environment.
  • A current RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) certification.
  • A warm and approachable demeanour with a positive attitude.
  • Proven experience delivering high-quality customer service.
  • Professional presentation and exceptional communication skills.
  • Reliability, with the ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to work across a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays
