Job Title: Front-End Developer with Design System Expertise

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Front-End Developer with a strong understanding of Figma-to-Storybook workflows to join our product development team. The ideal candidate will act as a bridge between our design and development teams, ensuring seamless translation of pixel-perfect UI designs into responsive, accessible, and maintainable front-end code.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with UI/UX designers to translate Figma designs into pixel-perfect, responsive UI components.
- Build reusable components and libraries using React, TypeScript, and Next.js and document them in Storybook.
- Ensure design consistency and scalability by adhering to established design systems and tokens.
- Maintain alignment between the design system in Figma and the component library in Storybook.
- Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following modern front-end best practices.
- Work with cross-functional teams to integrate front-end components into larger application ecosystems.
- Identify and address UI/UX inconsistencies or technical constraints early in the development cycle.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across disciplines.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in front-end development with proficiency in HTML, CSS/SCSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
- Strong hands-on experience with React, Next.js, or similar frameworks.
- Proven experience building and maintaining Storybook component libraries.
- Strong proficiency in Figma, including understanding of design systems, auto-layout, and design tokens.
- Familiarity with Git and version control workflows.
- Solid understanding of accessibility (WCAG) and responsive design principles.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of front-end JavaScript frameworks (React, Vue, or Angular).
- Style components using Bootstrap and React Bootstrap or Tailwind CSS, based on project requirements or team standards.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Knowledge of unit testing libraries (Jest, React Testing Library) and visual regression testing.
- Experience contributing to or managing a design system at scale.
