Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and ensure a smooth check-in and check-out process. Verify patient information, collect insurance details, and schedule appointments as needed.
- Answer and route incoming calls, manage emails, and relay messages to relevant staff.
- Manage patient appointments, coordinating with medical staff to ensure optimal scheduling and minimal wait times.
- Maintain and update patient records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with privacy regulations, such as HIPAA.
- Assist patients with insurance-related inquiries, verify coverage, and process co-payments or payments. Work closely with billing and coding staff as required.
- Perform various administrative tasks, filing, scan documents, maintain inventory of supplies.
- Maintain front desk area and waiting room tidy, organized, and well-stocked with necessary forms, brochures, and supplies.
- Ensure the smooth flow of patients within the medical office, optimizing efficiency and minimizing wait time.
- Experience working in a medical office, preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Proficient in using medical office software, electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds (Required)
- Able to work Saturdays (Required)
