Valley Mountain Regional Center is excited to announce we are looking for a Front Desk Receptionist to join our Administration Department.
What You’ll Do:
The Receptionist is often the first point of contact for visitors and callers, playing a vital role in ensuring a professional and welcoming introduction to VMRC. Working under the direction of the Human Resource Manager and the guidance of the Senior Receptionist, you will provide reception, customer service, and administrative support to staff, visitors, and community partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet, welcome, and direct visitors appropriately.
- Notify staff of visitor arrivals and provide accurate directions.
- Answer and route incoming calls; manage paging and phone systems.
- Respond to inquiries or refer visitors and callers to the appropriate staff.
- Maintain and update employees and department directories.
- Support security procedures, including Lobby Guard, logbooks, and visitor badges.
- Keep the reception area clean, safe, and organized.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as emails, memos, scanning, faxing, copying, and filing.
- Collaborate with a team of three receptionists to ensure coverage and departmental support.
- Document and communicate reception activities, irregularities, and follow-up needs.

- Strong telephone, listening, and verbal communication skills.
- Professionalism and a customer service–focused attitude.
- Excellent organization and ability to handle multiple priorities.
- Strong teamwork and reliability to support colleagues and the department.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Ability to stay calm and effective under pressure.
- Familiarity with phone systems preferred.
- Prior experience in customer service or receptionist roles, with a focus on customer satisfaction.
- A university/college degree is an asset
