The CRSO Industry Relations Manager manages outreach efforts to payments stakeholders to support the achievement of Federal Reserve Financial Services strategic goals. This role plans, designs, evaluates and implements strategy for creating industry awareness, gathering industry input and securing industry support of payments system improvement initiatives. This incumbent will partner with CRSO marketing, analytics and sales, District outreach, public information and product offices as needed to achieve objectives. The level of work required is considered advanced and staff must be able to work under minimal supervision.

Key Activities:

  • Strategic Initiatives Leads team to promote Federal Reserve payment system improvement initiatives to traditional and new audiences through traditional and social media, industry meetings and speaking engagements targeting diverse industry publications, conferences and events Partners with strategic
    leaders, product offices and sales and marketing to drive industry support and participation in FRFS strategic initiatives.
  • Develops communication strategies, plans and tools to drive consistent and effective messaging regarding the FRFS strategic direction and initiatives
    Industry Outreach Activities Builds and maintains favorable relationships with industry organizations to achieve strategic objectives.
  • Develops and manages tools and processes to support IRP central coordination of industry relationship and outreach activities including annual planning, meeting planning, messaging, and reporting.
  • Manages IRP internal reporting and administration to include annual planning, budget development and management, performance reporting, and communications for governance bodies and system workgroups.
  • Plans and coordinates industry discussion forums to solicit industry input into financial services strategy and initiative.
  • People Leadership Provides team with necessary resources to perform work Develops performance standards and developmental plans for each staff member and conduct performance reviews within the required timeframes; address employee performance issues as appropriate.
  • Recruits, trains and onboards new staff

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 7-10 years of direct experience in sales, marketing, communications, outreach and/or relationship management
  • Possesses and applies strong knowledge of payments, payment stakeholders, and Federal Reserve Financial Services business and strategies
  • Independent thinking and decision-making abilities
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Able to manage relationships at all levels of organizations and able to manage teams, including direct reports and contributors from other internal/external organizations, to accomplish goals
  • Possesses and applies both specific and broad knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures of the field of specialization to the completion of assignments

Locations:

  • Hybrid, on-site requirement will be determined by hiring district
  • Remote eligibility will be determined by hiring district
  • The selected candidate’s new job title and associated pay range will be determined by the employing District and will continue to be subject to the employing District’s people policies and practices (i.e., remote/hybrid work posture, etc.).
