Looking for a freelance SEO-savvy editor to help ensure content drafts adhere to content briefs, are well-structured, meet company editorial guidelines, and are optimized for SEO. THIS IS NOT JUST A PROOFREADING JOB. This is a job for a skilled editor who understands SEO optimization and how to instruct writers to improve their content. Candidates must be U.S.-based and speak English as their native language.
Ideal skills
- Solid knowledge of how to optimize content for SEO, including good link text, structure, keyword inclusion, etc.
- Good communication skills and experience communicating to writers to help them improve their content.
- Ability to structure reader-friendly content.
- Good project management and time management skills to guide projects through a workflow.
- Excellent proofreading skills.
- Solid grasp of English grammar.
- Ability to understand and edit to an internal style guide.
- Adaptability and a commitment to honest, open communication.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, start-up environment.
- Writing skills and experience a plus.
- Previous experience editing content about medications and medical and mental health a plus.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a remote work environment.
- Familiarity working with Google Suite and Asana preferred
This role will be editing blog posts or web pages for helloklarity.com for adherence to briefs and editorial style, content quality and SEO best practices, and giving feedback to freelance writers to help them improve their deliverables.
