Interested candidates should have in-depth knowledge of gaming and must be comfortable writing news about various gaming-related topics. This is a great opportunity to cover the gaming communities you love while working with one of the best teams in esports and games journalism. We're looking for multiple types of writers who will each cover different beats. These include:
- General esports
- Video game releases
- Live service games with large communities
Responsibilities:
- Help cover news and guides around game releases and updates
- Work with editors to develop pitches
- Meet deadlines for publishing stories
- Follow trending topics through Google Trends and Twitter
- Write a minimum of 20 stories per month
- Understanding online game communities and the games themselves
Preferred qualifications:
- 1-2 years of experience writing in the gaming industry
- Knowledge of SEO practices
- Weekend availability
Rates:
Compensation ranges from $16-250 per article depending on length and content type.
