THE ROLE

Reporting to the Fraud & Risk Investigations Manager, you will be pivotal in executing and refining our fraud prevention activities. Utilizing advanced tools and comprehensive data analysis, you will optimize fraud detection methods, enhance overall performance, and achieve key KPIs across all regions and business units.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Build and maintain fraud reports and dashboards in BigQuery and Looker to enable real-time fraud analysis. 
  • Proactively identify and resolve fraud issues, ensuring we’re balancing fraud prevention with customer experience. 
  • Daily monitoring and reporting of fraud KPIs.
  • Produce ad hoc reports to evidence live issues and trends and develop solutions to prevent and mitigate risk. 
  • Design, test and implement rules & logic to prevent fraud and reduce false positives. 
  • Apply advanced analytical techniques to extract meaningful insights from large datasets to minimise fraud chargebacks whilst balancing customer friction
  • Work independently on fraud analytics and the analysis of large datasets to ensure appropriate feedback is given to the internal and external ML models. 
  • Communicate and escalate fraud trends in a clear and understandable manner to stakeholders.

WHO YOU ARE

  • 3 + years experience working in a fast-paced e commerce fraud environment
  • Proficiency in SQL (SQL Server, BigQuery, or similar)
  • Experience using data visualisation tools (Looker, PowerBI, Tableau, or similar)
  • Ability to transform data analysis into defined actions and improvement
  • Knowledge of fraud systems and controls e.g Forter, Riskified, Accertify 
  • Ability to work autonomously in solving complex technical problems
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on data accuracy and quality
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to a non-technical audience
  • Advanced in English, both written and oral.
