Fraud Analyst
Location: Bangalore
The Fraud Operations Team at Toast works to prevent fraud for Toast, our customers, and our guests. The team is responsible for fraud prevention across our Fintech suite, from access controls to transaction monitoring.
The Fraud Analyst is responsible for reviewing customer accounts with identified suspicious or unusual activity, and determining if escalation or reporting is necessary. They will be the front line in defending against fraud and will be expected to provide high-quality operational feedback to the Fraud and Risk Team and other stakeholders in order to improve Toast’s overall fraud program.
What You Will Do:
- Monitor fraud queues to eliminate the fraud risk from the customer accounts and ensure risky transactions are stopped
- Conduct thorough investigations using internal tools to detect fraudulent activity
- Review chargeback data to identify meaningful patterns
- Deliver a best-in-class, truly delightful experience to Toast restaurants and prospects through successful communication (both written and verbal)
- Provide insights on fraud trends for different Toast fintech products
- Discuss and work on the escalations to provide best solutions for customers
- Suggest and implement improvements to existing fraud SOPs and methodologies
- Provide insights to Data Analyst, Product and Engineering Teams to improve the existing fraud tools and procedures
Do you have the right ingredients?
- 1-2 years of experience in an analyst-level role in Fraud and Risk environment, Freshers can also apply
- Any Graduate can apply, Preferably from the Fraud Risk Background
- Curiosity and strong investigative skills, ability to form a narrative around large sets of data and ability to identify fraud patterns/trends
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, changing environment and adapt while focusing on key goals and objectives with minimal oversight
- Excellent problem solving and interpersonal skills
- Customer-focused with excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must be highly motivated and able to work within tight deadlines
- Ability to work in flexible work environments and US or Night shifts/timings. Candidates should be flexible to work on Weekends.
- We follow a hybrid work model 3 days from office , non negotiable .
