The Position

We are looking for an experienced Commercial Contract Manager to join our team. Your skill set will be important, but we value intelligence and attitude over knowledge of specific technologies. 

Main Responsibilities

 

Contract management 

 

  • Owning the Main Contract and Sub-contracts terms and conditions
  • Supports the Sales effort as required, including by providing input to key proposals and quotations
  • End-to-end Project Contracts and Commercial Management and support including the preparation and management of the Contract requirements Plan and project contracts kick off meeting
  • Contributes in the handover/transition phase from Sales to Project and actively contributes to Project Start-up to ensure adequate commercial coverage 
  • Provides support to the Delivery teams on project commercial strategy throughout the Project cycle, such as Variation Orders preparation and negotiations, commercial positioning on key topics
  • Supply commercial and contractual assistance to Supply Chain 
  • Coordinate contract specific Insurance and Bank Guarantee requirements with Finance 
  • Support and participate in the development of contracting strategies, preparation of Sub-contracts and management of Sub-contract tendering and award process
  • Monitor the legal compliance with the contractual requirements and the signatory powers and highlight potential areas of concern
  • Ensure the commercial and contractual awareness across the Project Team throughout the life of the project 
  • Review Contractual Project correspondence as applicable 
  • Provide input to Risk and Opportunities management 
  • Assisting General Counsel with arbitration and conflict management

 

Contract Close

 

  • Ensure provision of timely notifications to Client/Subcontractor/Vendor as and when required by the Main Contract/Subcontracts/POs and whenever deemed necessary to protect the company’s rights
  • Support the Contract/Subcontracts Close Out process 

Requirements 

  • A minimum of 5+ years experience in contract management including change management 
  • Experience of both main and subcontract management. 
  • Experience in executing contract negotiations and involvement in claims 
  • Experience within the Military / Defence / Aerospace industries preferred. 
  • Experience with client contracts within the Middle East, UK and Europe
  • Experienced and accustomed to traveling when needed
  • Fluent in English, written and spoken
  • Organised and proactive 
  • Relationship building abilities at each level of the organization 
  • Independent and capable of showing initiative 
  • Good Contracting skills (drafting, negotiation) 
  • Good communication skills 
  • Flexible and self-motivated 
  • Law Degree in a relevant discipline

Skills Required

  • Minimum 5+ years experience in contract management including change management
  • Experience of both main contract and subcontract management
  • Experience executing contract negotiations and involvement in claims
  • Experience with client contracts within the Middle East, UK and Europe
  • Experience within the Military / Defence / Aerospace industries
  • Law degree in a relevant discipline
