Design and build an in-house, self-managed data platform and complex pipelines for structured, image, video, sensor, and time-series data. Lead development of a NiDAR simulator using Unreal Engine 5, creating geo-referenced environments, physics-driven vehicles and vessels, weapon effects, sensor simulations, and video streaming. Integrate the simulator with backend and command-and-control systems, optimize performance, track Unreal releases, estimate work, manage risks, and mentor engineers. The role supports mission-critical safety and security applications across Windows, Linux, and macOS environments.

Build and operate self-hosted, offline-capable infrastructure for data pipelines and machine learning environments. Responsibilities include Linux server and VM administration, Docker containerization, ML lifecycle platform management, dataset and artifact versioning, orchestration, CI/CD automation, monitoring, troubleshooting, and resource optimization. The role integrates data pipelines with training and inference systems while supporting large heterogeneous datasets and documenting platform operations.

Design and implement backend applications, modernize system architecture, mentor junior engineers, collaborate cross-functionally, estimate delivery timelines, and develop robust mission-critical software interfacing with diverse hardware in constrained environments.
