This is a student position for aspiring Software Engineers specializing in FPGA High Level Design (HLD) domain. The candidate will participate in translating FPGA on the edge customer use-cases and implementing them on Altera FPGA AI Suite. Moreover, this role requires student interns who is willing to learn and collaborate with Altera FPGA AI specialists for interpreting customer AI use-cases into technical requirements (both functional and non-functional) and implementing them as FPGA AI solutions on the edge.

Successful candidate shall be working closely with experienced Altera FPGA AI Specialists, while gaining skills and knowledge on,

• Translating complex use-cases into technical features and requirements for a proof of concept
• Exploring Altera FPGA AI Suite extensively
• Analyzing the PoC, debugging failures and reporting to stakeholders

Qualifications:

• Pursuing technical undergraduate/postgraduate studies, with interests in software engineering including but not limited to AI and machine learning, validation, test-analysis, performance benchmarking
• Good basic knowledge in software, firmware verification, validation, AI and machine learning
• Basic knowledge in C / C++
• Basic scripting language knowledge such as Python/Perl/TCL/shell scripts and OS such as Windows/Linux
• Basic knowledge on fundamental FPGA programming and/or FPGA systems design
• Basic knowledge on Verilog/VHDL will be an added advantage
• Aspire to sharphen analytical skill, problem-solving techniques, and communication skills
• Enjoys working on emerging technologies, concepts and ideas to showcase innovations
