You will join a team developing state-of-the-art general-purpose robots designed to operate in human spaces and with human tools. It is designed to work alongside humans, mobilize to human spaces, and manipulate the world around it.

Apptronik is looking for a Financial Analyst to provide critical data for strategic decisions about the company’s business, our technology roadmap, our capital opportunities, and much more.

Candidate must be able to think analytically and independently, produce beautiful reporting quickly, and maintain an accurate drivers-based three statement financial model. The right candidate will have experience tracking key metrics and building forward-looking scenarios and analyses.

Candidate must have FP&A experience at a high-growth, institutional-investor-backed company. Strong preference for background in tech-enabled hardware.

This position offers significant opportunity for personal growth, and you will be able to shape the development of a highly disruptive technology. You will be part of a lean but growing Corporate Finance team.

Responsibilities 

  • Support the drivers-based, three-statement financial model that details the company’s operations and projects future performance, and ties historical numbers to projections 
    • Produce a variety of strategic analyses, models, charts, and metrics quickly and accurately 
    • Reconcile discrepancies and identify gaps between strategic forecasts, annual plans, and rolling forecasts 
  • Take the initiative to provide insights, analysis, and high level trends. We are looking to emphasize the “A” in FP&A. 
  • Support budget update process by liaising with department leads; track and present budget-vs-actuals to department leads 
  • Support Finance Team’s preparation of monthly executive reporting packages and quarterly Board packages 
  • Identify and use industry-leading software tools for reporting 
  • Support Finance Team in building fundraising and investor materials 
  • Provide various ad hoc analysis as required 

Qualifications

  • Ability to construct three-statement financial models that are clear and follow best practices; ability to tailor other analyses’ complexity (simplicity) by use case 
  • Deep understanding of corporate finance and operational drivers such that this person can take the initiative to conduct additional analysis and offer insights unprompted
  • Experience with institutional investor backed company(ies) (private equity or venture capital); Familiarity with venture / private equity audience reporting norms 
  • Experience working within ERP systems and with FP&A software tools 
  • Passion for story-telling through data 
  • Robust knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and other business intelligence tools 
  • 0-2 years corporate FP&A experience 
  • Preference for experience with hard-asset sectors; strong preference for tech-enabled hardware 
  • Bachelor’s degree required
