FP&A Manager

Qualys is looking for an FP&A Manager with a proven track-record of helping to lead high-impact FP&A teams for complex global SaaS companies. To be successful in this role, you will need strong, analytical and system skills, a partnership orientation for working with business colleagues and the ability to manage the Company’s financial model and strategic goals, while also being very detail-oriented.

Job Summary:

Manager - FP&A, will be responsible for managing all aspects of functional P&L budgeting and forecasting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual planning, and will assist in monthly and quarterly close process and board reporting. This role will have experience driving a planning process, as well as the ability to proactively collaborate to achieve the overall company strategy. The FP&A Manager will serve as the point person for business partners and will support them closely in managing both headcount expenses as well as non-headcount / vendor spend. The position requires a strong analytical mindset, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments.

Key Responsibilities include: 

• Collaborate with FP&A and business owners to develop robust financial forecasts and budgets that reflect the company’s strategic direction
• Lead the creation of financial reports and presentations that provide insightful analysis to senior executives and the Board of Directors
• Reporting design: Enhance the visibility and accessibility of financial reports and dashboards, with an emphasis on visual design for supporting enhanced decision-making at all levels. 
• Lead ad hoc financial modelling and analysis for special projects; build detailed financial models for scenario planning 
• Partner with departmental leaders to drive process and systematic improvements across the Company, including assessing ongoing FP&A processes and tools for continuous improvement and automation opportunities
• Tool Ownership: Act as the primary owner and expert of the Anaplan FP&A tool for functional P&L group expense planning, overseeing the structure and integrity of financial data within the system 
• Oversee the continuous improvement of financial processes for functional P&L groups to ensure they align with corporate objectives and maximize efficiency and accuracy 
• Work closely with other departments to gather relevant data and support financial analysis
• Assist and provide guidance and support to business units on financial matters and performance metrics
• Work cross functionally to support budget owners in decision-making with data driven insights

• Excellent multi-tasker who is always “on it” with stellar time and project management skills; understands the importance of planning in advance to meet deadlines that include multiple review points and iterations
• Strong communicator, both written & verbal; reliable and responsive to email and phone communications
• Highest level of integrity and good judgment, with the ability to effectively deal with highly sensitive, confidential information
• Flexibility to accommodate commitments outside of regular business hours – while Qualys is strongly committed to supporting our employees’ work-life balance, we are a global company with team members and business stakeholders in far-flung time zones, and thus this position regularly requires meeting attendance during evening hours

Qualifications: 

• 8+ years of progressive experience in Finance, demonstrated growth in Finance/FP&A positions, preferably within the SaaS industry
• Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Accounting or related field; MBA/CPA/CFA a plus
• Thorough understanding of GAAP accounting principles
• Proven ability to work across departments with varying levels of staff and management to solve problems and achieve results
• In-depth knowledge of financial processes, data structures, and systems
• Experience with financial reporting and planning tools such as NetSuite and Anaplan
• Advanced skills in financial modeling and data manipulation utilizing the full Microsoft Excel suite, including PowerQuery, VBA, Power BI, and up to speed knowledge of current-day Excel features (e.g. dynamic array functions)
• Proficiency in handling large datasets with SQL and Python a plus
• Exceptional analytical and communication skills, capable of conveying complex financial information clearly and persuasively
• Visual design of dashboards and reporting experience
• Strong initiative and the ability to function independently as a strategic contributor
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build relationships and influence decisions across various management levels
• Recognized as a trusted advisor with a robust ability to guide strategic decision-making and execution
• Superior attention to detail, while also demonstrating ability to see “bigger picture”; must exercise sound judgment, show drive and initiative, and feel confident verbalizing comments and suggestions 
• Possess excellent time management, prioritization, and organizational skills

Annual Salary Guidelines: $135,000 - $160,000
