FP&A Manager

We have an exciting opportunity for a FP&A Manager to join our Finance team in Sydney.
In this role you will report to the Head of Financial Planning & Analysis and be responsible for being a Finance business partner for our corporate portfolio. Working closely with ExCo members and key commercial stakeholders to draw out key insights and analysis that support financial and strategic decisions that drive sustainable growth for the business.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Lead and run the business performance review and reporting of the Group consolidation and corporate cost centres, including profitability, cash flows, trends and key KPIs.
- Lead discussions with key stakeholders and continuously challenge the status quo, identify areas of risks and opportunities and develop actionable plans to address these areas.
- Lead and run planning cycles for the Group across the P&L, balance sheet and cash flows, including budgets, rolling forecasts and 3-5 year long range planning.
- Collaborate closely with the Growth team to develop processes and targets to track strategic growth projects and initiatives, provide partnering to drive those initiatives forward and ensure delivery and performance of projects are within expectations
- Regularly share your learnings with the team, informally coaching or mentoring others in matters which you are in SME in or are learning too to elevate the FP&A teams capability.
- Effective leadership and mentorship of a direct report (Finance Analyst), carving out meaningful work for them as well as proactively providing development opportunities.
What you will bring to the role:
- Degree in Accounting, Business, Commerce, Economics or Finance. CA or CPA certified.
- Proven working experience as a FP&A manager. 10+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience.
- Critical thinker with tenacity for problem solving and willingness to seek information and appropriately challenge the status quo.
- Strong business and financial acumen. Demonstrated ability to proactively identify drivers in financial risks and recommend actions to mitigate.
- Extensive experience in financial modelling to support decision making.
- Extensive experience in preparing, monitoring and reporting of annual budgets and forecasts.
- Sound knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
- Advanced skills and experience using budgeting and planning tools. Experience in implementation planning software preferred
