The Opportunity
We are seeking a strategic finance professional to support business growth across Asia by delivering actionable financial insights and driving performance beyond targets. This role partners closely with country and regional teams to provide meaningful P&L analysis, assess risks and opportunities, and evaluate ROI for key initiatives. You will play a critical part in enabling informed decision-making through accurate reporting, planning, and forecasting, while leveraging digital tools and financial systems to streamline processes and deliver high-value, strategic analysis.
Key Accountabilities & Performance Indicators
Management Reporting
- Deliver timely, accurate, and insightful management reports to support business performance tracking.
- Communicate budgets and forecasts clearly and effectively to relevant stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain reporting dashboards to enhance data visualization and decision-making.
- Support the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial results.
Financial Analysis
- Perform detailed financial analysis including advanced financial modelling, profitability analysis, monitoring business issues and impact to bottom line.
- Evaluate commercial initiatives, new product introductions, and pricing strategies, providing actionable insights.
- Prepare executive and internal reporting packages with clear commentary and strategic recommendations.
- Ad hoc reporting as required.
Business Planning
- Lead and support Asia business in the annual Budget, Strategic Plan and monthly Forecasts by leveraging financial systems such as TM1 and Workday Adaptive Planning to improve accuracy, efficiency, and collaboration.
- Ensure alignment with AMENA Regional FP&A timelines, standards, and deliverables.
Business Interaction
- Act as a trusted finance partner to country and regional leaders, participating in key business meetings.
- Serve as the primary finance contact for selected Asia markets, providing guidance and resolving queries.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with controlling, marketing and supply chain to align financial plans with business strategies.
- Routine communication with country leaders relating to financial close, issues and deliverables.
Ad hoc duties
- Lead and contribute to special projects aimed at improving financial processes, systems, and reporting.
- Leverage automation tools such as Alteryx and explore AI-driven solutions to streamline data processing, reporting, and forecasting.
- Reduce manual workload and shift focus towards value-added analysis and strategic support.
- Cross-train with team members to ensure business continuity and knowledge sharing.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will possess the following qualifications and attributes,
- Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience in financial planning and analysis (Essential) with prior business partnering experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting / Finance or other related area (Essential)
- CPA/CA (Desirable)
- Proven expertise in financial systems such as SAP, TM1, Workday Adaptive Planning, or similar planning tools
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong working knowledge of MS Office Suite
- Familiarity with automation and analytics platforms such as Alteryx; exposure to Python, SQL, or AI-driven tools is a plus
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
- Highly organized, detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively across functions and geographies
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders
- Pharmaceutical / FMCG / Consumer product background is advantageous
