SE3 Labs builds Spatial AI by combining 3D computer vision and large language models (LLMs). Ultimately, our AI will solve the spatial Turing test: It will be able to answer any question about 3D data that a human analyst could answer. Spatial AI will unlock tremendous value in industries like construction, smart infrastructure, smart factories, and defense. As our long-term vision, our spatial AI is a crucial building block for enabling LLM-controlled humanoid robots.

• Our team consists of computer vision experts and repeat founders, who have worked with Elon Musk at Tesla and at Nvidia, KPMG, Bosch, and Artisense. Daniel is the president of the European Computer Vision Association.

• Within our first year, we have secured mid-six-digit revenue and aim for seven-digits in 2025.

• We are a dual-use tech company selling to civil customers and the German armed forces. We will expand internationally in the next six months.

• We just raised a heavily over-subscribed financing round from Europe's best VCs (Midas List Europe) and world-class angel investors (unicorn founders, Sequoia scout, Princeton professor, etc.). We are part of EWOR.

About the Role

AI Engineering is a new field combining fullstack engineering with LLMs, best described by swyx: https://www.latent.space/p/ai-engineer

As the Founding AI Product Engineer, you will work closely with Lukas (CEO) and Simon (CTO) to build AI-first applications that combine LLMs and 3D computer vision. This role sits at the forefront of product development, merging cutting-edge AI technologies with intuitive design to create transformative user experiences. You will collaborate closely with our 3D computer vision engineers to integrate vision models and LLMs into applications that set the standard for AI-powered products.

What you might work on

• Build AI-driven features that seamlessly combine 3D computer vision and LLMs, setting the bar for real-world usability.

• Develop elegant and functional UI/UX that makes advanced AI capabilities accessible and delightful to use.

• Drive the full product lifecycle, from experimental prototyping to deployment and testing.

• Explore and implement emerging AI techniques and tools to stay at the cutting edge of innovation.

• Rapidly iterate based on user feedback, refining features to deliver a reliable and practical product.

What we are looking for

• Strong full-stack development skills, including experience with frameworks like Next.js, Node.js, or FastAPI.

• Proficiency in cloud-native development using platforms like GCP or Vercel.

• A strong focus on UI/UX design, with experience in tools like Figma and a proven ability to deliver sleek, user-centered interfaces.

• Mobile development experience with React Native or native iOS/Android is a plus.

• Experience with 3D visualization frameworks such as Three.js, WebGL, or Blender is a plus.

• No prior expertise with AI or LLMs is required—just a keen interest in exploring and integrating AI into innovative, real-world applications.

Process

1. Intro Call (virtual, 30 minutes): This is our chance to get to know each other. We’ll discuss your background, your motivations, and why you’re interested in SE3 Labs. You’ll also learn more about our mission, the role, and the team.

2. LeetCode Interview (flexible, ~60 minutes): We know that leetcode sucks, but it is still the best tool to judge coding ability. If you know a better solution, please ping [email protected].

3. UI/UX and Portfolio Review (virtual, ~45 minutes): We’ll dive into your design process and discuss your past projects. Bring your portfolio or examples of your work to showcase how you approach building elegant and functional user interfaces.

4. Dinner/Lunch (in person): We’d love to get to know you in person and share more about how we work at SE3.
