The Role
The Founding Account Executive will drive sales by engaging with potential customers, demonstrating the product, and closing deals while shaping the sales strategy from the ground up.
Summary Generated by Built In
We’re hiring a Founding Account Executive at Roe, the agentic investigation platform for fraud and AML teams.
Fraudsters are using fake identities, mule accounts, synthetic businesses, burner emails, suspicious transaction patterns. Meanwhile, risk and compliance teams are still drowning in queues, spreadsheets, screenshots, case notes, and 47 browser tabs.
Roe gives them AI agents that investigate cases end-to-end: reading internal data, following SOPs, citing evidence, and producing dispositions that QA teams, partner banks, and examiners can actually trust.
You’ll work directly with the CEO to find, pitch, and close the next wave of Roe customers.
That means:
- Outbound to risk, fraud, AML, compliance, and operations leaders
- Turn messy customer pain into crisp “holy shit, we need this” demos
- Run discovery calls that do not sound like a hostage negotiation
- Attend conferences, work rooms, follow up fast, and make pipeline appear
- Navigate fintechs, banks, marketplaces, and other regulated companies
- Close deals, learn from every deal, and help build the sales playbook from scratch
- Partner with founders, engineers, and solutions teams to get customers live
- You have 2+ years of SaaS, fintech, risk, compliance, data, infra, or enterprise sales experience
- You are genuinely comfortable picking up the phone
- You can write a cold email that sounds like a human wrote it
- You like complex products and can explain them simply
- You are energized by early-stage chaos, not allergic to it
- You can sell to serious buyers without sounding like a LinkedIn thought leader trapped in a Patagonia vest
- You want to be close to product, customers, founders, and the actual building of the company
Bonus points if you’ve sold into fraud, AML, compliance, banking, fintech, marketplaces, data platforms, AI infra, or ops teams.
Roe is not another AI copilot. We’re building AI agents that sit on top of the systems risk teams already use, investigate real cases, cite their evidence, and improve with every review.
The company says Roe handles fraud, dispute, AML, and KYB workflows in regulated production environments, with public benchmarks including faster time-to-disposition and cost reduction versus offshore fraud ops.
You’ll be early enough to shape the motion, the messaging, the ICP, the objection handling, the conference strategy, the follow-up sequences, and probably the office snack discourse.
Competitive base + commission + meaningful equity. Healthcare, vision, dental, hybrid work, and a team that moves fast.
The base pay range for this role is $100,000 – $150,000 per year.
Skills Required
- 2+ years of SaaS, fintech, risk, compliance, data, or enterprise sales experience
- Comfortable making calls and writing cold emails
