The Role
Deploy and integrate autonomous vulnerability-management platforms into high-security, sovereign, and air-gapped environments. Read and modify customer and platform code, identify vulnerabilities, verify patches, build security tooling integrations, and navigate authentication, network, compliance, and cross-domain constraints. Act as the technical bridge between customers and core engineering and AI teams while advising customer engineering, SOC, and operational leaders on automated defense and vulnerability remediation.

Why Aisle?

Aisle is redefining how enterprises secure their software with an AI agent for autonomous vulnerability remediation. Vulnerabilities are the #1 root cause of cyber incidents, yet most organizations take weeks or months to patch what attackers exploit in days. We’re changing that.

Our mission is to protect democratic societies from the most sophisticated cyberattacks. We do that by giving organizations - including those operating critical infrastructure - the power to harden their systems and resolve security issues at superhuman speed and scale. Backed by world-class founders and advisors, we’re creating a new category in cybersecurity at the intersection of AI, automation, and enterprise resilience.

We’re a small, talent-dense team spread across the Europe, US and Canada. We value high ownership, high velocity, and low-ego collaboration. If you want to work with world-class minds in AI and security, thrive in fast-moving environments, and care about solving one of the toughest challenges in tech, Aisle is the place for you.

As a Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE), you will be the technical force at the frontline of AISLE’s deployments inside sensitive government, defense, and enterprise environments. You won't just be advising — you will be reading code, modifying software pipelines, integrating autonomous defense systems into complex customer architectures, and solving non-trivial technical security challenges on the ground.

This is a high-autonomy, hybrid role combining the technical rigor of a Systems/Security Software Engineer with the problem-solving and client-facing ownership of an FDE.

What we're looking for

Cleared Professional: You hold an active UK SC / DV, EU Secret, NATO Secret, or equivalent national security clearance.

Security Engineer & Developer: You can read and write production code (e.g., Python, Go, Rust, or C/C++) and deeply understand core vulnerability classes (memory safety, logic flaws, web/network attack surfaces, zero-day dynamics).

Customer-Facing Execution: You thrive in high-stakes environments, communicating complex technical concepts cleanly to both senior stakeholders and hands-on system administrators.

Systems Mindset: You are comfortable working around complex IT/OT/VPC architectures, air-gapped networks, Linux kernel internals, and containerized deployments (Docker, Kubernetes).

Mission-Driven: You care deeply about national security, sovereign cyber defense, and building technology that actively defends free societies.

What you’ll do

Deploy & Integrate: Lead the technical deployment, configuration, and integration of AISLE’s autonomous security platforms into sovereign, air-gapped, and high-security enterprise networks across the UK and EU.

Code & Remediate: Dive directly into customer and platform codebase (C/C++, Rust, Go, Python) to assist with vulnerability identification, patch verification, and custom security tooling integrations.

Bridge Product & Customer: Serve as the technical feedback loop between field deployments and our core Engineering/AI teams, translating unique operational edge-cases into core platform capabilities.

Security Operations & Hardening: Navigate complex customer authentication, cross-domain solutions, network constraints, and compliance frameworks without sacrificing execution speed.

Technical Ownership: Build deep trust with customer engineering, SOC, and operational leadership as a subject matter expert in vulnerability management and automated defense.

Skills Required

  • Active UK SC/DV, EU Secret, NATO Secret, or equivalent national security clearance
  • Production programming experience with Python, Go, Rust, C, or C++
  • Deep understanding of vulnerability classes, including memory safety, logic flaws, web/network attack surfaces, and zero-day dynamics
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to senior stakeholders and system administrators
  • Experience with complex IT/OT/VPC architectures and air-gapped networks
  • Knowledge of Linux kernel internals
  • Experience with containerized deployments using Docker and Kubernetes
  • Interest in national security, sovereign cyber defense, and protecting democratic societies
