Manage and monitor the company's import and export operations, ensuring compliance with customs regulations, IMMEX program requirements, and VAT-IEPS Certification obligations, while guaranteeing the plant’s operational continuity.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITES
*Daily Operations
- Review and validate customs declarations (pedimentos).
- Monitor and follow up on import and export operations.
- Coordinate activities with customs brokers.
- Ensure compliance with border crossing and customs clearance timelines.
- Track and monitor shipments.
- Resolve customs-related issues and incidents.
*Controls
- Reconcile foreign trade inventories.
- Follow up on inventory discrepancies.
- Control and monitor expiration dates of temporary imports.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Error-free customs declarations (pedimentos).
- IMMEX compliance.
- Zero expired temporary imports.
- Inventory discrepancies below the established target.
- Response time to customs-related incidents.
Qualifications
Customs and Foreign Trade Knowledge
Bachelor’s degree in International Trade, International Business, or a related field.
Preferred certifications or diploma programs in Foreign Trade, IMMEX, Annex 24, Annex 30, and Tariff Classification.
2 to 5 years of experience in customs operations within an IMMEX maquiladora environment.
Experience working with customs brokers, carriers, SAT, ANAM, and the IMMEX program.
Knowledge of temporary and permanent import processes.
Experience monitoring import and export customs declarations (pedimentos).
Control and management of fixed assets, raw materials, and return shipments.
Intermediate to advanced English
