Job Overview

The Floral Operations Specialist – Strike Team is responsible for the end-of-night breakdown and recovery of all floral and event inventory. This role ensures every event closes out cleanly, efficiently, and with full asset accountability.

You’re the last touchpoint—what you leave behind matters just as much as what was installed. This position is fast-paced, physical, and detail-driven, requiring someone who can stay sharp when the clock gets late.

Key Responsibilities

Event Strike & Breakdown (Primary Focus):

  • Execute timely and efficient breakdown of floral installations and event décor
  • Safely remove, pack, and transport all floral, rentals, and hard goods from event sites
  • Identify and separate reusable inventory vs. disposal items
  • Ensure all items are accounted for, protected, and loaded properly for return
  • Maintain professionalism while working in active event environments during late-night hours

Inventory Recovery & Reset:

  • Unload and return all items to the warehouse in an organized manner
  • Clean, sort, and reset inventory for the next production cycle
  • Report damages, shortages, or quality issues immediately
  • Support inventory organization to maintain efficiency across events

Team & Execution Support:

  • Work closely with the Operations Lead to ensure smooth strike execution
  • Assist with light installation/setup as needed, but primary focus remains breakdown
  • Maintain strong communication with team members during fast-paced transitions

Safety & Standards:

  • Follow all safety protocols when handling equipment, ladders, and large installations
  • Ensure vehicles are loaded safely and efficiently
  • Maintain a clean, organized workspace during and after strike
Qualifications
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail—nothing gets left behind
  • Ability to move with urgency and stay focused in late-night environments
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Previous event, warehouse, or floral experience preferred
Requirements
  • Must be available for late nights and weekends (this is non-negotiable)
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to drive vans/box trucks preferred
  • Reliable transportation
  • Ability to lift 30–50+ lbs consistently
  • Comfortable standing, lifting, and moving for extended periods
Compensation & Benefits
  • Pay Range: $15–$18/hour (based on experience)
