We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-driven Flight Scheduler to join our Operations team. This is a critical role responsible for shaping the Day 0 +1 schedule, balancing operational efficiency with regulatory compliance and premium service delivery.
The Role
As a Flight Scheduler, you will play a key role in planning and optimising daily operations—ensuring aircraft and crew are positioned effectively to deliver a seamless flying programme. You will operate at the intersection of Operations, Crew Dispatch, Maintenance, and Flight Communications, making real-time decisions to maintain efficiency and continuity.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and optimise Day 0 +1 schedules, ensuring all crew pairings and aircraft assignments are compliant and confirmed
- Optimise crew and aircraft utilisation, minimising positioning, inefficiencies, and operational costs
- Monitor and ensure crew legality and qualifications, including duty limits, endorsements, and regulatory compliance
- Coordinate closely with Operations, Maintenance, Crew Dispatch, and Flight Communications to align schedules and resolve issues
- Respond to operational disruptions (IROPS) such as delays, AOG events, and last-minute changes with effective solutions
- Identify scheduling risks, inefficiencies, and sell-off opportunities, escalating where appropriate
- Communicate schedule changes clearly and maintain accurate operational records and handovers
- Collaborate with international teams (US & Europe) to optimise global fleet and crew deployment
- Manage and coordinate crew travel and accommodation if required for live scheduling window
About You
You are a highly organised and solutions-focused aviation professional, comfortable working in a dynamic, time-critical environment where precision and responsiveness are essential.
Essential:
- Experience within aviation scheduling, crew planning, or operations control
- Strong understanding of crew duty regulations, legality, and ICAO compliance
- Proven ability to make decisions and solve problems in real-time operational environments
- Excellent communication and coordination skills across multiple stakeholders
- High attention to detail with strong organisational capability
- Proficiency with scheduling/operations systems (e.g. LEON, FOS or similar)
- Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities
Desirable:
- Experience within business aviation, fractional, charter, or airline operations
- Exposure to international or multi-region scheduling environments
Working Pattern
- 4 on / 4 off rotation
- 12-hour shifts covering days and evenings
- Flexibility required to support including weekends and public holidays
