We’re looking for an internal communications writer who is immediately available to help generate new and leverage existing content across our international footprint for a period of 6 months.
Part of our Corporate Affairs and Communications team, this role is based in the virtual Global Capability Center in South Africa. The successful contractor will join a dynamic communications team that helps build and protect TransUnion’s internal brand, position the organisation as an employer of choice, internally and externally, with key stakeholders worldwide. You’ll collaborate with colleagues across TransUnion’s International markets and work with subject matter experts in AI, analytics, product and solution development, people and talent, to name a few.
You will be responsible for supporting our International Communications Director in delivering and coordinating a range of projects, including the roll out and maintenance of the company’s new intranet. You’ll need to have the ability to quickly assimilate new information and distill it into an employee-friendly format (intranet, emails, stories/articles, instant messaging, social media, and more).
Often, you’ll be adapting centrally created content for use in a diverse range of international markets. Cultural astuteness and the ability to navigate a complex matrix organisation is a must.
This role will suit someone who has a writing or in-house communications team background. Although the core role duties are defined, the successful individual has the ability to suggest additional writing projects that could help build and steer the future success of TransUnion’s internal programs.

Additional Job Description
The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail and the ability to simultaneously manage multiple streams of work. The candidate should be a passionate writer having handled technical and/or corporate briefs previously. Experience of working with international markets desirable but not a must – you’ll be working with teams across multiple time zones.
For positions based in South Africa, preference will be given to suitably qualified candidates from designated groups in line with the company's Employment Equity plan and targets.

Please note it is a requirement of the Global Capability Centre Africa that you reside in a home that is fibre ready; and has space for you to be able to work comfortably and confidentially on a day-to-day basis for the purpose of your proposed employment. You can be based anywhere in South Africa that has fibre, but will not be able to work in a location outside of South Africa.
A Minimum of a 100 Meg Fibre line is required, should you be successful, you will need to upgrade your line or install fibre in order to work effectively.
