Who You Are:
Galaxy is seeking a Financial Operations (FinOps) Associate to support the GalaxyOne COO in managing the day-to-day financial operations. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless coordination across our internal teams, our parent company Galaxy Digital, and our external partners. Our financial operations heavily focus on supporting the daily activity related to our customers’ various platform activities and financial activity with our partners and vendors. You thrive in driving cross-functional collaboration amongst internal and external teams, including technology, product, client services, finance, compliance, legal, and marketing. This role is ideal for a highly organized, proactive problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment, excels at multitasking, and is passionate about supporting high-performance teams in a dynamic setting.
What You’ll Do:
- Oversee daily financial operations for the GalaxyOne platform, managing cash movements, reconciliations, payment processing, and balance management in close coordination with Client Success, Compliance, Product, and Legal teams.
- Monitor and manage balances across venues and custodians to maintain liquidity, coordinate fund flows, and support treasury operations.
- Execute and track internal payments such as referral bonuses, incentives, and reimbursements, ensuring proper documentation and reconciliation.
- Support troubleshooting for payment and transaction issues (e.g., wire delays, ACH returns, failed transfers) in close partnership with the Client Success and Compliance teams.
- Partner with Product, Engineering, and Client Success to optimize and automate financial processes as new products and features are introduced.
- Act as a liaison between our internal team, parent company Galaxy Digital, and external partners, facilitating communication, resolving operational bottlenecks, and ensuring alignment on shared goals.
- Monitor operational workflows, track key performance metrics, and prepare reports or dashboards to provide insights on efficiency, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Identify and implement process improvements to streamline financial operations, reduce redundancies, and enhance cross-team collaboration in a dynamic environment.
- Contribute to risk management by flagging potential issues early and assisting in the development of contingency plans.
- Foster a culture of operational excellence by organizing knowledge-sharing resources and feedback loops.
What We’re Looking For:
- 5+ years of experience in financial operations or project management, within technology-driven, financial services environments.
- Proven ability to manage daily operations and support cross-functional teams effectively.
- Experience coordinating with multiple stakeholders, including internal teams, parent companies, and external partners.
- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities in a high-growth environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare reports, presentations, and facilitate meetings.
Bonus Points:
- Experience in a fintech startup or consumer-product-focused company.
- Strong data analysis skills, including experience with tools like Excel, Tableau, or Google Analytics for operational reporting.
