What you will do:
We are looking for a highly skilled Financial Reporting Specialist to manage IFRS financial and SII regulatory reporting processes. This role involves preparing detailed reports for management and regulatory bodies, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial standards.
Your day-to-day:
- Financial Reporting: Support the preparation of interim and annual financial reports for Group reporting and statutory financial statements under IFRS
- Regulatory Reporting: Support the preparation of SII regulatory reports (SFCR, RSR, QRTs) and statistical information for submission to the Bank of Greece and other institutional bodies
- Subsidiary Reporting: Participate in Group and Local financial reporting processes for company subsidiaries
- Analytical Procedures: Perform analytical procedures on IFRS and SII Balance Sheets
- Internal Controls: Develop and document effective internal controls and procedures
- Project Execution: Participate in finance-related projects, analysis requests, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve and automate financial reporting processes
- Accounting Treatments: Suggest accounting treatments for new transactions and draft accounting memos
- Impact Analysis: Conduct impact analysis of new financial and regulatory requests
- External Liaison: Liaise with external auditors and regulatory authorities
- Data Validation: Validate and reconcile financial/accounting data and flows
Qualifications:
- Educational Background: University degree in Accounting and Finance; a relevant Master’s degree is highly desirable
- Professional Experience: Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in the Financial Services industry and/or a Big4 firm
- Qualifications: IFRS knowledge and ACCA/ACA professional qualification are essential
- Industry Expertise: Experience in the insurance industry and/or SII technical expertise is advantageous
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems (experience with Peoplesoft is a plus) and MS Office, especially MS Excel; experience with Oracle Hyperion Platform, SQL and Python will be appreciated
- Language Skills: Fluency in both Greek and English
