We’re looking for a Financial Planning Analyst in Raleigh, NC to join us in fulfilling our mission, while utilizing our values of excellence, improvement, and connection. For this role, Enact MI is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented FP&A professional who strives to be part of a high-performing team of finance professionals. Reporting to the Director, Financial Planning & Analysis, the ideal candidate will possess critical analytical skills to accurately forecast and analyze financial statements, transform strategy into financial projections, and present financial information and analysis to senior leadership at Enact MI. LOCATION

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Forecast and analyze business results, including evaluation of insurance and reinsurance lines of business, and identify relevant factors impacting performance through collaboration with the Pricing, Risk and Business Diversification teams

Partner with peers and leaders to comprehensively understand the Enact business and the FP&A roles and responsibilities that effectively provide backup capacity across the FP&A organization

Create and deliver expert presentations explaining detailed business results, variances, and forecast changes to FP&A and finance leadership audiences

Continuously improve work product and processes with focus on automation, efficiency, and expanding the technology impact to loss analytics

Identify and build out visual analytics by partnering with Enterprise Analytics team

Develop and build out forecasting capabilities that bring additional insight into trends and increase forecast rate accuracy

Partner with Enact Controllership and FP&A teams to present monthly and quarterly results, analyze business drivers and financial performance, and support financial statement closing process

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business

5+ years of finance experience
-
Strong financial model capabilities utilizing Excel
-
Experience with Tableau, SAS, and Financial Modeling software, including AI
-
Detail oriented with very strong analytical abilities
-
Ability to analyze data sets, performance variance analysis, draw conclusions and summarize findings

Proven, effective communicator, both written & verbal, to senior-level leadership as well as to non-finance audiences

Continuous improvement mindset
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

MBA, CFA or MS degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred

Insurance or Reinsurance industry experience
