Job Description

Responsible for translating business goals into actionable plans and KPIS and provide analytical insights to support business growth and profitability.

Upstream

  • Provide analytical insights and support to Head of poultry farms and farm managers in managing farm KPIs as below:
  1. Breeder & Hatchery – Productivity (DOC per HH), PS Mortality, Hatchability, DOC CV, DOC Quality, PS Weight Management, Biosecurity, Overheads and Fixed Operating Expenses.
  2. Broiler – Performance Index, 7th days body weight, Feed Cost per kg of broiler meat, FCR, Mortality, Cycle time, Non-conformance factors (CV, bruises, broken or red wing tip, ammonia burnt, etc), Productivity (kg per square meter), Biosecurity, Overheads and Fixed Operating Expenses.
  • Provide analysis for DOC and Broiler supply planning & scheduling, logistic and harvesting to ensure plant broiler requirement in term of quantity, body weight, timing and sequence are fulfilled within the allowed tolerance range.
  • Provide support to CF and OMBB in terms of the onboarding process which include verifying the creation of account form, OF/OMBB contract terms and ensure end cycle payment are processed in accurate and timely manner. To ensure Contract Terms are adjusted timely to reflect changes in raw materials price and feed formulation cost.
  • Provide analytical support and collaborate with farm, harvester, logistics and downstream stakeholders to improve non-conformance costs such as broilers’ DOA (dead on arrival), weight loss, bruises, broken wings and other injuries, etc.
  • Provide analysis to breeder, hatchery and broiler farm management to optimise VOHs (variable overheads) which includes staff, medications (vaccine, antibiotic), pesticide, disinfectant, repair & maintenance, electricity, water and etc.
  • Check to ensure farm internal controls are adhered (eg, purchasing SOP, cash sales, live bird invoicing and CN, repair and maintenance works, petty cash claims and etc)
  • Check to ensure operational data capturing are timely and accurate (eg. cycle end, invoicing, consumables/medications usage, etc)
  • Perform financial feasibility analysis for new capex (new equipment, broiler and breeder farm, etc) and projects & ensure it is appropriately enforced by the HBUs to comply with expected performance outcome as outlined in the feasibility study, otherwise to highlight to HBU on the need to implement the necessary action plans to ensure conformance.
  • Support the annual budgeting and monthly revised forecast (LE - latest estimates) process.
  • Work closely with leadership team on strategic, tactical and operational matters as and when required.
  • Upon better visibility on Supply Chain solution, will incorporate the necessary additional analysis of variance and root cause analysis with action plans to reduce the gap and improve performance and bottom line.
  • Perform any other task and assignments as directed by the Management from time to time.

Downstream

  • Establish a reliable tracking process for plant’s critical KPIs such as OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness by production lines), Production Yields (by production lines and product categories such giblets, CUP, deboned etc), Manpower Productivity (by lines) and Plant’s Key Variable and Fixed Overheads. Provide analytic support and collaborate with plant stakeholders to drive improvement on those critical KPIs.
  • Provide analytical support and collaborate with plant and upstream stakeholders to improve broiler supply bird size accuracy (average body weight, ABW), uniformity (CV) and volume. This in turn will improve plant KPIs such as OEE, order fulfilments, variable overheads, etc.
  • Ensure product costings are updated in a timely manner arising from changes in production processes, new equipment, cost components (eg. Manpower, raw materials, etc), new product development, etc.
  • Perform financial feasibility analysis for new capex (new equipment, additional production lines, etc), NPD (new product development) and projects.
  • Drive efficiency and effectiveness in business processes through reengineering, streamlining, automation and enhancing the internal controls.
  • To perform any other task and assignments as directed by the Management from time to time.

Qualifications

  • CIMA, ACCA, Degree in Finance/ Accounting or similar professional qualifications
  • 7 to 8 years of finance and accounting working experience or related field
