Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Finance Director of Latam to support ongoing and ad-hoc analysis and modeling in support of PayJoy’s aggressive goals. The role will have straight contact with the FP&A team in the US.
- Develop financial models (top-down and bottom-up) for budgeting, business forecasting, company health, and pricing evaluation. Provide periodic KPI reporting to headquarters in the USA..
- Work closely with the regional General Manager in Colombia and Panama to model the value of future partnership opportunities. Support company-wide budgeting processes including monthly budget vs. actuals analysis of operating and non-operating cash flows.
- Run distribution calculations for principal and interest for multiple debt facilities. Create local dashboards providing real-time insight into KPIs and other financial metrics.
- Work closely with the accounting team to gather financial information and assist with the reconciliation of Local GAAP versus US GAAP.
- Assist accounting in the audit process
- Validate the taxes paid
- Support operations in making payments to merchants and reconciling the transactions with accounting
Qualifications
- Bachelors in Finance, Economy, Accounting, Business Administration or Engineering
- 5+ years of experience in finance roles
- Experience with Colombian and Panamanian market and regulation
- Experience with fintechs and/or banking in Colombia is a plus
- CFA, CPA, Master in Finance, and MBA are a plus
- Problem solving and analytical skills
- Excellent Excel modeling skills, Google Sheets experience is a plus.
- Maintain and build strong relationships with senior stakeholders
- Detailed oriented
- Experience with Netsuite, PBCS/Hyperion is a plus.
- Prior experience at leading consultancy, financial institutions or fintech is a plus.
- Languages: English professional proficiency is mandatory
